Spiritual Philosophy

We cannot strengthen our faith
by pretending we believe,
Although in serious doubt;

We can only find vigor,
by subjecting our faith
to the light of truth.

We cannot anchor faith
to the fleeting wings
of transient emotions;

We can only believe
when the mind can explain
what it can observe.

We cannot grasp truth
without first knowing
our real selves;

We can only be illumined
by catching light
from our inner world.

We cannot gain immortality
if consciousness is captive
in this temporal realm;

We can only find God
if the goal of searching
is for selfless ends.
