“The object and reward of learning is continued capacity for growth.”
John Dewey
We now live in a globally competitive world where knowledge, not buildings and machinery, is the chief resource and where knowledge-workers make up the biggest part of the work force. Furthermore, the labor market demands workers who can deliver not merely mediocre outputs but excellent results. Hence, growth for education and training is a must for every individual who wants to be part of the labor force. It is therefore imperative for aspiring professionals to choose a learning institution which can equip them of the knowledge and competencies demanded of them by the global economy.
The Graduate School of Education (GSE), upholding Aldersgate College’s vision of transforming anyone who passes through its portals to be morally upright and spiritually awakened – a brave and sagacious leader, with an enlightened mind, a compassionate heart, and able and ready hands, commits itself to becoming a pioneering educational research organization, implementing high-impact development projects, and providing specialized and continuing education to local and international students and professionals, thereby, developing educational managers and specialists capable of providing dedicated and excellent services in a multi-national and multi-cultural work setting.
With the institution’s three pronged mission of Academic Excellence, Social Relevance and Spiritual Nurture, the GSE aims to:
• Deliver educational programs at the Masteral, Doctoral and Continuing Education levels;
• Develop outstanding educators who can at the same time provide spiritual nourishment to their respective schools, churches, and development institutions; and
• Encourage and support the involvement of graduate students in cutting-edge research, development and extension with their respective institutions and stakeholders at the local and international levels.
To achieve the above mission, we at the GSE steadily keep ourselves abreast with the changing times and make full use of the immeasurable benefits of educational innovations such as e-learning, fully integrated multimedia, and digitized and self-contained syllabi which enrich learning. Likewise, we employ only high-caliber professors from leading institutions and agencies who are experts in using various methodologies and styles and in fully integrating the technological innovations in their teaching.
Receive the full reward of learning as you Go for Growth. Go for Excellence, Go for AC!
