Curricular Strategy
In School-year 2010-11, the School of Business and Accountancy was spinned-off from the College of Business and Information Technology to integrate the teaching of Business and Accounting with the research and development programs of other development units within Aldersgate College. These units are the Aldersgate College Global Outsourcing Center (ACGOC) and the Center for Rural Enterprise and Appropriate Technology (CREATE). This integration requires that all faculty members be actively involved in business research and development, thus delivering enriched learning through synthesis of theories and best industry practices.
In this connection, students are intensively exposed to apprenticeship work assignments and are required to conduct practical researches within the business and job environments of affiliated business and development organizations. This enables them to build professional networks and employment contacts that prove valuable when they finish their courses.
