The partnership between Aldersgate College, Inc. (ACI) and the Department of Agriculture -Philippine Fiber Development Authority (DA-PhilFIDA) on research, community development and social services had been sealed today, September 29,2023 through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) of the Aldersgate College,Inc. President, Rev. Micah Ryan B. Ramel, Ph.D. and the DA-PhilFIDA Regional Director Mr. Edel Dondonila. The significant signing of the MOU between the two agencies marks a more official and meaningful partnership towards community development especially to the farmer organization being mentored by both institutions. This is also an evident proof of the Public -Private Partnership (PPP) between government and private institutions targeted towards the provision of financial and developmental services to communities that were traditionally provided by the public sector.
The MOU signing between the heads of the two institutions was witnessed by the members of the executive committee of Aldersgate College Incorporated, and Dr. Myrna V. Viernes, member of the AC Inc. Board of Trustees who chairs the Education and Spirituality Committee. Both heads delivered their inspiring messages centered on the strong partnership of both institutions towards the achievement of a common goal, that is, to provide technical assistance to farming communities of the province and the development and promotion of the Abaca Industry which is one of the prime projects of the Department of Agriculture -Philippine Fiber Development Authority.
In partnership with the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya under the able Hon. @Governor Atty. Jose “Jing” V. Gambito, LGU Bayombong’s Hon. @Mayor Tony G. Bagasao, and LGU Solano’s @Office of the Mayor – Atty. Phillip A. Dacayo, AC Inc. advocates for the Protection and Development of the Barobbob Watershed springs which benefit households and farmlands in the Municipalities of Solano and Bayombong.
