13th Flag-Raising Ceremony: Emphasizes Importance of Teamwork and Preparation for Graduation

LOOK| The collegiate level conducted its 13th flag-raising ceremony on Wednesday, May 3 at the EZE stage. It was sponsored by the College of Business, Management and Accountancy.
The program started with an invocation led by Ms. Genery M. Gabriel, an ABCM fourth year student, who gave a fruitful message about the four pillars of life “Pagtitiwala, Pananampalataya, Pagtitiyaga, at Panalangin” and she emphasized the importance of prayer.
It was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem conducted by Ms. Jenny O. Millo, a BSBA-MM2 student; Panatang Makabayan by Ms. Angel Faith A. Gamatan, a BSHM-1A student; and Vizcaya Hymn by Ms. Jeraldine A. Salazar, a BSHM-1A student. The reading of the AC Mission, Vision, Goals and Objectives, and Core Values was led by Ms. Mikee R. Labog, a graduating BSBA-FM student.
Announcements and updates from the deans and heads of offices followed. The School Registrar – Mrs. Florida E. Natividad announced that the list of candidates for graduation was already posted on the bulletin board and reminded the students to check their grades prior to graduation.
In addition, Ms. Bernadette C. Blanche, Campus Executive Officer reminded the class advisers that they must always be with their students during the FRC.
Along with the announcements, Rev. Daton Jonathan B. Palitayan, Research Director, encouraged all the student-leaders to participate in the upcoming Anti- Terrorism and Drug Abuse Seminar with the esteemed speakers- Dr. Elmer A. Palacio, ACCERT Vice President for Youth Affairs and Corporate Auditor and PMJ Anthony C. Ayungo, Solano PNP Chief of Police, on Friday at the AVR.
Furthermore, Rev. Rosemarie D. Agonias, School Chaplain, reminded the students of the different programs of the CBMA to prepare themselves for their convocation in the morning.
Thereafter, the College President- Rev. Dr. Micah Ryan B. Ramel, delivered his inspirational message in which he said that since the school year is about to end, it is a special month for everyone, especially students. However, he also emphasized that now is the most crucial time to focus on important things like our projects and co-curricular activities. He added that “efforts are made not only by an individual but also as a team.”
“Therefore, keep in mind that in order to accomplish more and succeed in life, we must combine our own efforts with others,” he added.
The singing of the AC hymn under the direction of Ms. Nica Marabillo, a BSA-2A student, and a group photo of all the faculty and staff marked the conclusion of the FRC.#
