The Province of Nueva Vizcaya is a melting pot of indigenous cultures brought about by its geographic linkages with neighboring provinces and with the Sierra Madre and Cordillera Mountain Ranges.
Aldersgate College, Inc. supports the need to raise cultural awareness, promote respect, and ensure participation and inclusion of Indigenous Peoples (IP) among its students such that a simple program was conducted in celebration of the National Indigenous Peoples Month this October.
The program began with The Bungkos Sining dancing the traditional manmanok, an indigenous dance depicting three roosters competing for the attention of a hen.
The President, Rev. Dr. Micah Ryan B. Ramel, in his message shared his personal experience of the rich heritage and traditions of Indigenous Peoples and his staunch advocacy for the empowerment and development of Indigenous Peoples.
One of the highlights of the event was a unity dance participated in by Aldersgate College IP administrators followed by other members of Team AC, Inc., faculty, staff, and students. Members of the Aldersgate College Alumni Association were also present during the event.
