On November 23, 2022, the AC President, Rev. Dr. Micah Ryan B. Ramel responded to the invitation of Wesleyan University Philippines (WU-P) to attend the dedication and consecration of the newly constructed university chapel.
WU-P is the foremost UMC-related Academic Institution in Central Luzon, being an Autonomous University as recognized by the CHED since 2006. It was recently awarded the Gawad Padyak Parangal being the top private HEI in Central Luzon with the best response in mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in higher education covering the period of March 2020 to April 2021.
In attendance were Dr. Greg Pawilen, UPLB OIDHE Director and UMC University Senate Vice Chair, and Ms. Chita Framo, a graduate of Harris Memorial College and Deputy Director of the WUP-Carolina L. Gozon Institute of Lifelong Learning.
WU-P also hosted the UMC Philippine Central Conference 2022 which started on the same day and was attended by Jarom Fronda, Deaconesses Jenny Jane D. Corpuz, Melany Rose L. Pasion, Cely B. Luna and Rev. Rosemarie D. Agonias, UMC Central Conference delegates.
