October ushered in a new era for Aldersgate College as Rev. Dr. Micah Ryan Bernardo Ramel took his oath of office as the third President on October 1, 2022, at the Women’s Training Center in Aurora, Quezon. The ceremonies began with a thanksgiving service where Rev. Dr. Ramel received an anointing from the UMC Leaders through Rev. Dr. Pedro M. Torio, Jr., the Resident Bishop of the Baguio Episcopal Area, symbolizing his profound and absolute surrender to God’s call to lead Aldersgate College. Dr. Willie A. Damasco then administered the oath in his capacity as the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Aldersgate College. Dr. Prescilla Esperanza A. Soriano, the Immediate Past President of the College, was also present to turn over leadership to her successor. In attendance during the oath-taking and turn-over ceremonies were Rev. Dr. Ramel’s family, the other members of the Board of Trustees, and members of the Executive Committee (EXECOM) of Aldersgate College together with the junior administrators, faculty, and staff. An investiture ceremony is slated to follow in December of this year.
