Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya — Demonstrating the growing synergy between academia
and the business sector, two administrators from Aldersgate College Inc. (ACI) were officially inducted as members of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) – Nueva Vizcaya Chapter. The induction ceremony was held on July 8, 2025, at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center, with the participation of government officials, industry leaders, and representatives from the local business community.
Engr. Eric Van Sesbreño, President of the Nueva Vizcaya Contractors Association and has a special seat as the Alumni of Aldersgate College BOT, was sworn in alongside Dean Kristian Cesar C. Ollier, LPT, MBA, who represented Aldersgate College as a Director in the newly constituted PCCI–Nueva Vizcaya board. Their induction underscores ACI’s ongoing commitment to regional development through active private sector engagement and public-private partnerships.
The oath-taking was officiated by Mr. Gary Chong, Regional Governor of PCCI Region 2, and attended by key officials from the Department of Trade and Industry Region 2 (DTI R2), including Regional Director Ma. Sofia G. Narag, CESO V, and Acting Assistant Regional Director Atty. Michael Paggabao. Other dignitaries included representatives from the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya, private organizations, and members of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The newly inducted PCCI Board of Directors includes prominent figures from construction, hospitality, agriculture, finance, academia, and other sectors vital to the province’s development. The board is led by President and Executive Director Dr. Magtanggol Maniquis, with several vice presidents and sectoral representatives appointed to ensure broad and inclusive representation.
The presence of two Aldersgate College administrators within this strategic body reinforces the institution’s role as a catalyst for innovation, enterprise leadership, and inclusive economic growth. As Aldersgate College continues to integrate education with real-world applications, its administrators’ involvement in policy and business networks enhances both institutional impact and community relevance.
DTI Region 2 congratulated the newly elected officers and expressed its commitment to supporting PCCI–Nueva Vizcaya in advancing responsible entrepreneurship and sustainable development in the region.
