Inabanga–San Jose, Bohol — September 9, 2025. As part of their Trade Techno Mission – Benchmarking Activity, the Nueva Vizcaya delegation visited BAMBohol, a community-based enterprise formally known as “Bamboo Artisano’ng Mag-uuma Bol-anong Lumad.” Established in 2023, BAMBohol brings together artisans, carpenters, and farmers committed to sustainable bamboo craftsmanship, cultural pride, and environmental stewardship.

Located in Inabanga–San Jose, BAMBohol envisions a “united and empowered community of bamboo artisans, farmers, and carpenters in Bohol, leading sustainable development through bamboo craftsmanship and advocacy.” Its mission is to foster solidarity among stakeholders by promoting sustainable bamboo farming, empowering local artisans, preserving indigenous knowledge, and advancing inclusive socio-economic growth.
During the visit, the Nueva Vizcaya team witnessed how bamboo is transformed into innovative, eco-friendly products that both support livelihoods and highlight cultural identity. The discussions also underscored the role of bamboo as a renewable resource that can drive sustainable industry development in rural communities.
For the Nueva Vizcaya delegation, the BAMBohol experience provided valuable insights on how community-driven initiatives can balance environmental sustainability, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment. These learnings are expected to inform future programs and cooperative projects in Nueva Vizcaya, particularly in strengthening green enterprises and indigenous resource utilization.
