The 1st JTHMAP Regional Seminar, held on December 1, 2025, at Saint Mary’s University, provided students with an insightful, and highly motivational learning experience. The event featured distinguished speakers whose messages resonated deeply with attendees, both personally and professionally.
Ms. Almyra Joy B. Garcia shared the vision and developmental journey of JTHMAP, highlighting the importance of purpose, identity, and direction in effective leadership. Dr. Jocelyn Carag broadened students’ perspectives on internationalization, discussing the significance of global collaboration and the crucial role of education in developing globally competitive professionals.
Participants also valued the policy-oriented and practical insights of Mrs. Ma. Theresa Farrah C. Dugay, EnP, who discussed tourism governance and its importance in promoting sustainable and responsible tourism development. Concluding the seminar with high energy, Mr. Edison B. Bumatay emphasized the impact of synergy, and meaningful human connection within the hospitality industry.
