Aldersgate College Inc. (ACI) strengthened its commitment to research excellence and scholarly impact through the opening session of its Seminar on Research and Creative Work Ethics on August 13, 2026, attended by 225 faculty members and staff.
The first session featured Mr. Nick I. Rojas, Instructor III of Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) and a research and journalism practitioner, as resource speaker. He discussed “From Research Writing to Publication: Protocols in IMRaD Publication,” focusing on essential principles and practical strategies for developing research manuscripts using the IMRaD framework—Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.
Rojas emphasized key considerations in preparing research manuscripts for publication, including the organization and presentation of scholarly content in accordance with publication standards. The session aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills in transforming research outputs into manuscripts suitable for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
In her message, Dr. Marissa J. Taguinod, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), underscored the importance of research in advancing the academic mission of the institution. She also emphasized the role of faculty and staff in contributing to a stronger research culture within ACI.
Also present during the activity was ACI President Dr. Eduardo B. Copliting, Jr., whose administration continues to support the institution’s research and creative work initiatives.
The seminar is part of ACI’s continuing efforts to strengthen research capacity, promote ethical scholarly practices, and encourage the production of quality research and creative outputs. Succeeding sessions will focus on various aspects of research and creative work ethics, providing participants with further knowledge and guidance in undertaking scholarly and creative endeavors with integrity, responsibility, and academic excellence.
