In a continuous effort to foster innovation, digital literacy, and research excellence, the BRIDGE Hub Team, in collaboration with Catalyste+ Advisor Dr. Bandula Abeysundara, successfully conducted a two-day seminar and training series on January 30-31, 2025 at the Audio Visual Room 2 (AVR 2).
Day 1: Digital Marketing – Empowering Future Business Leaders
On January 30, 2025, faculty members and student leaders from CBMA gathered for an in-depth seminar on Digital Marketing, aimed at equipping participants with fundamental and advanced marketing strategies in the digital era.
Dr. Abeysundara discussed the key components of digital marketing, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), content marketing, social media engagement, and the buyer’s journey. The seminar provided attendees with practical insights on how businesses can effectively use digital channels to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
The seminar emphasized the importance of digital adaptability, preparing future business professionals to navigate and thrive in the ever-evolving digital marketing landscape.
Day 2: AI, Ethics in Research, and Research Grant Proposal Writing
On January 31, 2025, CBMA research coordinators, faculty, and students participated in a thought-provoking seminar on AI and Ethics in Research, followed by a workshop on Research Grant Proposal Writing.
The session explored the ethical dilemmas surrounding artificial intelligence in academic and industry research and provided valuable strategies for ensuring responsible and unbiased AI practices. Additionally, the training equipped researchers with best practices for crafting compelling grant proposals, helping them secure funding for innovative research initiatives.
This two-day seminar and training series is part of the ongoing Catalyste+ Engagement, reinforcing CBMA’s commitment to academic excellence, digital innovation, and ethical research practices.
