BYCC has Successfully Entered its Post-Registration Phase, Strengthening Student Empowerment through Cooperative Innovation!

On March 6, 2024, the Junior Marketing Association held a Pre-registration Seminar titled Breaking Barriers: Fostering Student Empowerment through Cooperative Innovation. This seminar laid the foundation for the Bridge Youth Consumer Cooperative (BYCC), with the concept of “bridging the gap” between students and the cooperative movement.

Fast forward to October 25, 2024, BYCC successfully entered its post-registration phase. The dedicated officers and members participated in a post-registration orientation led by Mr. Arnold D. Abalos from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). This session addressed important compliance requirements, including obtaining business permits and licenses, and clarified the roles and responsibilities of the cooperative officers.

Present to support the officers and members were BYCC adviser Maricris M. Romero, as well as Mr. Kristian Cesar C. Ollier, MBA, LPT, the Dean of CBMA. Their guidance helped reinforce the cooperative’s mission as it moved forward. Participation during the orientation was in-person and virtual, reflecting the strong unity of the team despite the challenges posed by the weather.

The orientation equipped the officers with essential knowledge on managing the cooperative and aligning their efforts with cooperative principles and operations. As BYCC grows, their shared dedication and teamwork will be vital in achieving the cooperative’s vision of social, economic, and cultural progress.

A special thanks to Rev. Dr. Micah Ryan B. Ramel for his continued support of this initiative, which has been instrumental in bringing the BYCC to where it is today. Congratulations again to the entire BYCC community, who are now ready to face the future, guided by the strength of unity and the principles of cooperation.
