Highlights from the Project DESIRE Capacitation Seminar
On December 16, 2024, the Project DESIRE “Developing Entrepreneurial Students Innovating Rural Economy” Capacitation Seminar kicked off with an engaging orientation on Intellectual Property Rights and Ownership. The session was led by Jannyn N. Lafeguera, a seasoned Trade Industry Development Analyst and Senior Business Counsellor from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Nueva Vizcaya.
Ms. Lafeguera provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the importance of protecting intellectual property in fostering innovation and business growth. Through detailed discussions and interactive activities, the attendees, including student mentees and faculty mentors, gained valuable insights into intellectual property laws, patent applications, copyright protections, and trademark registration.
