We are excited to announce the successful completion of the Trade Techno Mission to General Santos City, which took place from June 20-27, 2024. This strategic initiative, organized by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office of Nueva Vizcaya, was designed to foster direct engagement and knowledge exchange between successful MSMEs and our local entrepreneurs.
Representing Aldersgate College Inc., Kristian Cesar C. Ollier, OIC Dean of the College of Business, Management and Accountancy, had the privilege to learn from the innovative minds at Mindanao State University ICEBOX: A DOST-assisted TBI for Smart Systems Innovations. The delegation gained valuable insights into their best practices, key accomplishments, and visionary goals.
A highlight of the mission was the engaging session with Engr. Fred Fredeluces, CEO of Greentropics Coffee Enterprise. He shared the inspiring initiatives and social actions undertaken in Mt. Matutum, demonstrating the positive impact of business on local communities.
The benchmarking visits included Icebox Technology – Business Incubation Center at Mindanao State University, CEMCDO – Investments in General Santos City, Ellyness Pasalubong Market, Tay Roming Coffee Roasters, The Coffee Academy, and Don Ricardo’s Chocolate Shop. Participants had the opportunity to visit the bustling General Santos Fish Port, experience an immersive coffee cupping session with The Coffee Academy in General Santos, and learn from the stories and best practices at Don Ricardo’s Chocolate Shop.
This mission was a fantastic opportunity for our participants to observe, learn, and adopt effective practices from thriving MSMEs, aiming to enhance the trade operations and competitiveness of MSMEs in Nueva Vizcaya.
