November 4 – 5, 2024
Following a successful first phase, Project DESIRE at Aldersgate College (ACI) will enter its next phase on November 12-13, 2024, with a focus on the strategic and operational management of a Technology Business Incubator (TBI). Led by experts from the University of the Cordilleras (UC) and supported by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PROCEDE), the training sessions will cover critical topics including financing and managing an incubator, effective marketing and stakeholder engagement, as well as monitoring and evaluation practices. The sessions aim to equip ACI students with comprehensive skills in sustaining an incubator and fostering community partnerships.
The program will culminate on November 14, 2024, with a special session on implementing mentoring programs, alongside benchmarking visits to prominent TBIs, including UC’s own Technology Transfer Office, Saint Louis University’s Shared Service Facility, and UP Silbi. This experience will provide participants with insights into best practices in technology transfer and commercialization, enhancing their readiness to lead impactful initiatives in rural economic development.
