Aldersgate College Inc. (ACI) has solidified a partnership with the Department of Science and Technology – National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) aimed at enhancing its research capabilities. The collaboration kicked off with a three-day workshop, “RD Lead FIRE: Scientific Writing, Review and Publication, and Research Project Proposal Development Training,” held from August 19-21.
The workshop, led by RD Leader Dr. Ronnie S. Concepcion II and Engr. Jonnel D. Alejandrino of De La Salle University, Manila, focused on developing the research skills of ACI faculty, students, and researchers. Participants engaged in sessions on scientific writing, research paper structuring, and the use of standard DOST forms.
A key event during the workshop was the signing of the RD Lead Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking the formal start of the partnership. The MOU underscores both institutions’ commitment to fostering a robust research culture at ACI.
The signing ceremony was attended by key figures, including Marfy H. Lita, Project Senior Technical Specialist of the NRCP; Dr. Concepcion; Engr. Alejandrino; Cesar T. Medula,Jr.,Ph.D, ACI’s Vice President for Research, Development, and Entrepreneurship; Dr. Bernardo N. Sepeda, Executive Director of the NRCP; and Rev. Micah Ryan B. Ramel, Ph.D, the College President.
Through this partnership, ACI aims to secure more research funding, initiate collaborative projects, and increase its research publications. This initiative represents a major step in ACI’s efforts to become a leading research institution in the region.
