CBMA-HTM Cluster Strengthens Community Partnership Through “Bake Hope” Program in Brgy. Uddiawan

The College of Business, Management and Accountancy (CBMA), through its Hospitality and Tourism Management Cluster, held a strategic meeting with the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Uddiawan, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya to discuss the implementation of the HTM-ACCESS “Bake Hope” Program—Building Aspirations, Knowledge, and Empowerment: Helping Opportunities for Parents’ Economic Growth.
The initiative aims to equip parents with essential baking and entrepreneurship skills to support economic growth and self-sufficiency. During the meeting, CBMA representatives presented the general plan of activities, emphasizing the importance of hands-on learning and practical application. Additionally, a self-assessment checklist was administered to assess the beneficiaries’ current knowledge of safety, sanitation, preparation, set-up, cooling, and finishing techniques in baking. This activity follows the training sessions on baking and food sanitation previously conducted on May 11, 2024.
In addition to the program discussions, faculty and students visited the calamansi trees they had planted last December within the vicinity of the Barangay Hall and gymnasium. The trees, now bearing fruit, serve as a testament to the long-term sustainability efforts initiated through the collaboration between CBMA and the local community.
The CBMA extends its deepest appreciation to the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Uddiawan, led by Hon. Jesie C. Delos Reyes, Punong Barangay, for their continuous support and commitment to fostering community development.
This initiative highlights the college’s dedication to experiential learning, community engagement, and sustainable development, reinforcing its role in empowering local communities through education and skills training.
