Research and Development for Entrepreneurship (RDE) at Barobbob Watershed: Abaca Waste Materials for Viable Products Towards a Bright Future with Hope

In preparation for the partnership accords being advocated by the Aldersgate College Community Extension and Social Services – ACCESS with academic partners, national government agencies, LGUs, private organizations and business entities, an RDE project Team led by Ms. Jovelyn Detablan, the Chief of Laboratories and concurrent Head of the Verticalized Department of Natural Sciences has conducted a research on the properties of Abaca waste, supervised by a collaborating expert from the Central Luzon State University.
Based on the initial results, Ms. Detablan reported a variety of prospective uses for Abaca wastes which Team AC Inc. and partners shall pursue as social enterprise products, especially for the IP women members of the Nueva Vizcaya Freefarmers Social Enterprise (NV-AFSE).
