With the theme “Paghilom: Panahon ng Paghinga”, delegates from the North Nueva Vizcaya-West Ifugao District trooped to Aldersgate College for their Christmas Institute and 2nd District Youth Council Meeting which begins today, December 26, 2022 and will last until December 28, 2022.
The Christmas Institute serves as a camp and retreat for the youth and young adults of the United Methodist Church and is filled with lectures, discussions, shared devotions, and night worship experiences aimed at strengthening the spiritual lives of all delegates within a community of faith.
This year’s theme accentuates “the importance of refilling one’s cup so that they may fill others as they journey in knowing Christ and making Him known” (South Bulacan District, 2022).
The President, Rev. Dr. Micah Ryan B. Ramel warmly welcomed the participants and shared his fond memories as an active member himself of the UMYF in his youth. SSC President, Ryan A. Ruiz, was also enthusiastic in receiving the guests and wished them a fruitful stay at Aldersgate College.
